Mark Furtado, Psy.D., M.S.W. is a clinical psychologist licensed to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and New Hampshire. He graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Syracuse University, after which he earned his Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree from Boston College. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from William James College. Dr. Furtado has over 15 years of experience working in a variety of settings including universities, residential and public K-8 schools, community mental health centers, and outpatient and inpatient substance use treatment programs. Dr. Furtado started working in private practice in 2017 and opened Start Line Behavioral Health, LLC in 2021. He lives in Massachusetts with his partner and their three adopted dogs, Dax, Trip, and Tilly. In his free time, Dr. Furtado enjoys cooking, learning about food and nutrition, staying active, listening to audiobooks, geocaching, and taking his dogs on adventures. In addition to mental health promotion, Dr. Furtado is also passionate about animal rights and recovery advocacy.
